I was invited to shoot a wedding with Kate Mefford this last weekend. She is a fantastic photographer out of McKinney and one of the seemingly few Nikon shooters that I have found thus far. I helped her shoot a wedding at the Storybook Ranch in McKinney, which was really awesome and is sadly going to be torn down to make room for a bank. Let’s hear it for urban sprawl.

She has been a huge part of my inspiration as I have seen her photography really blossom over the last year since I first met her at a Misfits meeting with Fred Egan. It seems her business and the quality of her photography really hit overdrive after she got back from the Anti-Workshop with the Boutwells. Sooooooo……I think I have to go to the next one in 2008 in Las Vegas. I’m afraid so. Have to do it. It’s a must.

So without ado, here is my absolutely favorite picture from the wedding this last weekend. I really like how she is just standing there looking at the bride and groom pull away in the distance. I wonder what she is thinking about?
